SHOW BOX #3 : POLYGON

For Mesh Marcel Thelen created an installation in which he combines digital with analogue techniques. This results in an installation that looks like a graphic design but is made of solid wood. The elusiveness and weightlessness of the design is an interesting contradiction to the tangible and massiveness of the end product.

Marcel graduated as a woodworker and furniture designer but is also active as a sculptor and abstract painter. He likes to challenge himself in working with different materials, construction, deconstruction, installation, layers, powerful compositions and fresh color schemes. His hand drawn and cut up shapes are composed over and over again until they’ve found their place.
