SHOW BOX #35 KRISTA BURGER

The work of Arnhem based artist Heimprofi grew within the context of contemporary urban art. She has an interest in the emergence of cities and the impossibility of overseeing the final result of this growth process. Her work is an alternative urban investigation into the insurmountable truth that man is ultimately always subordinate to the dynamics of nature. Based on storytelling through pictures, her work often explores questions about public and private space and deliberately draws on everyday life.

For SHOW BOX #35 she envisioned the historic kiosk as a giant night lantern. The simple graphic black and white images remind of Eastern European illustrations and offer a surreal tale.
