SHOW BOX #29 REMCO VISSER

Remco W. Visser (1979) lives and works in Nijmegen. He graduated in 2005 at the fine art department of the Constantijn Huygens academy (ArtEZ). Inspired by comics, popart and abstract expressionism, the urban environment mainly has been his field of work, in which Visser works multi-disciplinary. He is also no stranger to the graffiti scene.

For the historic kiosk at Parksluizen, Visser created a site-specific installation, inspired by
lighthouses. Lighthouses shine their moving light on their surroundings, allowing one to see things in
different ways. Lighthouses light up the darkness and provide directions to go.
Shadow, light and dark effects often play a role in his 3d installations, as it does in this multi-layered
setup as well.
