PROJECT GIJSINGSFLAT
Op the 30th of September we opened a special public art project in the neighbourhood Bospolder/Tussendijken. Under guidance of artists Naamloozz and Krista Burger 125 local kids collaborated on an enormous artwork which was presented on the railings of the ‘Gijsingsflat’ across from the Visserijplein (market square).
In several workshops children from primary schools de Korf and Nicolaassxhool created large paintings about their neighbourhood and their role in it. The result was over 400m2 large and was publicly presented for a period of two months at the Gijsingsflat, which thereby underwent a colourful metamorphosis.
The art work was officially opened on Wednesday 30/09/20 for all participating children, their parents and the neighbourhood.
