SHOW BOX #17 SERGEJ VUTUC
With his photography Sergej Vutuc observes the (over)development of modern society and the privatization of public space. Often he does this by documenting skate culture. Where nature is being conquered by concrete, the act of skating conqueres in it’s turn the concrete, creating an ever-shifting landscape. In this installation however, Sergej’s urban poetry shifts to natural treasures being affected by humankind: Patagonian melting glaciers become the unspoken landscape of an apocalyptic romance of commercialised destruction and the concept of time.
